Tackling COVID-19 Sensibly – A conversation with Dr. Kashinath Dixit
Millions of families in cities and villages across India have been forced to deal with the dreaded COVID disease on their own – a clear outcome of weak governance and lack of affordable and accessible health care.
As people work in their communities to organize themselves to take care of their kith and kin, it has become increasingly evident that over-medication, wrong medication, lack of access to hospital care, and post-recovery complications are hurting those who already have suffered from the disease. Besides, missing out on simple, yet important, precautions is causing far too many to suffer from the disease. And thousands are dying.
What precautions and care can we take at the individual, family, and community levels to ensure we survive this pandemic, so we can recover effectively.
To address such possibilities, Environment Support Group invites you to participate in a conversation with Dr. Kashinath Dixit, an Endocrinologist who has worked for decades in the United Kingdom and been closely involved in responding to the COVID waves that affected the region. He is now also helping a variety of vulnerable communities across India to take precautions, stay healthy and recover from the disease.
Bhargavi Rao and Leo Saldanha of Environment Support Group will engage him in this conversation via Zoom on Sunday, 30th May 2021, 4 pm – 5.30 pm.
For those who prefer, the conversation will also be webcast live on Facebook at: www.facebook.com/groups/esgindia/
